我最近读到一些给写给编辑关于修订卫生保健制度的信。
这可能会吓着大家，但是美国卫生保健不需要修订。最后一次去看病又被拒之门外是什么时候？最后一次不得不等6个月去看病时什么时候？全世界的医生都经过我们的医生的培训。
问题不在于卫生保健；在与它的价格和我们的心态，都认为我们的大夫能为我们解决一切问题，而不对我们的生活方式的选择负责。
诸如心脏病，高胆固醇，糖尿病，关节问题，过敏，消化问题和高血压这些疾病都应该轻松对待，但是人们宁愿去看大夫，也不愿意吃药。要求高，价格自然就高。

问题不是我们的卫生保健．卫生保健的代价和我们智力告诉我们医生对所有一切都有答案．而我们却没有对自己的生活方式的选择负责任。
诸如心脏病，高血压，糖尿病，综合症，敏感症，消化问题和高血压都能自然地被照料，但人们更愿意去看医生和吃药．需要大了，价格当然就也高了．
人们需要把自己的生命重新掌握在自己手里．＂免费＂的卫生保健不是每个人的答案． |

I have read recent letters to the editor on ways to fix health care.
This may shock people, but America’s health care does not need to be fixed. When was the last time someone went to the doctor and was turned away? When was the last time someone had to wait six months to see a doctor? People come from all over the world to be treated by our doctors.
The problem is not our health care; it is the price of health care and the mentality we have that our doctor has the answer for everything instead of showing responsibility for our own lifestyle choices.
Issues such as heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, joint problems, allergies, digestive problems and high blood pressure all can be taken care of naturally, but people would rather go see a doctor and take a drug. The demand is high, and so is the price.
People need to take their lives back into their own hands. “Free” health care for everyone is not the answer. |
